Whew! 2024 was my most challenging summer ever. New General Managers Craig & Kerri didn't work out and left in the middle of the summer taking their son who was also a full time employee with them. The remaining staff circled the wagons and were "the wind beneath my wings" to get me through the rest of the summer. Also a HUGE thank you to past General Managers Jim Morey and Christy Gorre also stepped in to help out at the end of the summer! And thank you to our incredible guests who were so patient when things weren't up to snuff or when Margo was sleep deprived and crabby.
The fall has been warm and beautiful and we are in the process of closing down the cabins/store/restaurant for the winter. The trees along the river are starting to turn to gold and make a stunning foreground for the deep blue skies above the mountains.
We are actively looking for new General Managers who will hopefully be with us for the next 20 years! If you know of anyone who might be interested please call Margo at the resort phone number 530-286-2205.
Here is the ad for new General Managers:
Live in the STUNNING TRINITY ALPS WILDERNESS of sunny Northern California. World class hiking, fishing, mountain biking and whitewater rafting are some of your time off choices. We are looking for a couple to live year round in a 3 bedroom (one is a loft) /2 bath home (utilities included) on our resort property. The resort consists of 50 rustic camping cabins lining the Stuart Fork River, the Bear’s Breath Bar & Grill, and a General Store
One person will work with our year round maintenance man to perform maintenance and upkeep on the resort and a small ranch adjacent to the resort. They will also answer maintenance calls during the summer and perform repairs as needed. Must have general contractor skills. The other person will be in charge of the General Store and Housekeeping. Must be good with numbers and bookkeeping. Both people will be dealing with guests checking in and out and become familiar with all aspects of the resort including the Restaurant and Weekly Activities. Both managers must deal well with people and have good leadership skills. Meals are provided during the summer when the restaurant is open. We are a unique family resort with guests who return annually for generations. Many of our employees also return year after year, and it is the manager's job to create a family atmosphere for both the guests and employees. The atmosphere is rustic, outdoorsy and family oriented. Hours are long in the high season (Memorial Weekend through Labor Day) and more relaxed in the shoulder and off seasons. We are closed from about Oct 1 through about May 15 and do most of our maintenance, cleaning and repairs then. Kids welcome! Position starts in November 2024. Flexible starting dates. Come join our Trinity Family!
Trinity Alps Resort is a magical place to work for the right couple. The same families have been returning annually since the 1940's and 50's. Our employees and guests are all part of our "Trinity Family," united by our love for the resort, and the wonderful experiences it provides. We are looking for a couple who enjoy a rustic mountain lifestyle and would become a part of our “Trinity Family” for the next 10 - 20 years. Wages are dependent on experience. Eligible for great health benefits after 2 months.
HAVE A GREAT WINTER! SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER!
